Mobile health technology puts low-cost, high-quality care within reach of anyone who can afford a mobile phone. There are other programs that require more traditional at-home devices, but more companies are producing wireless phone applications, and small devices, that the masses will have access to.
I wonder, what impact will this democratization of healthcare have on poverty? On fixed income seniors? On the federal and state-funded (tax payer-funded) programs like Medicare and Medicaid? I plan to ask these questions and devlop these ideas in future articles.
